Gone in a flash as usual. I think it is tough for us quilters, as the Festival of Quilts takes a week of preparation (and excitement!), then a week at the show is followed by a week of rubbing feet, sorting out the photos and discovering what fabric was bought on a whim.

As the weather was so good we spent lots of evenings down on the beach. Whether it was in the sea, sitting on the beach reading a book, or rock pooling (below), it was lovely to make the most of the summer. In fact, apart from it getting dark early, we seem to be having a long summer which is why I am only just getting into autumn mode. Kind of ready for it though, my warm coat, comfy boots and 'that' large hand quilting project are waiting.
